This was the second time on the Eclipse and we were not disappointed. The ship, service, destinations and people we met were excellent.
Checking in onto the ship was quick and smooth, there were long queues but we were relaxing on ship with a cocktail within 3/4 hour of arriving at the port.
We signed up to the reduced classic drinks package, even though my husband and i are not large drinkers we felt it was value for money if you we regularly went to the Cafe and ordered quality tea/coffee which is part of the packages, you can get smoothies from the health bar by the spa, and we would average 3 or 4 alcoholic drinks per day, along with 3 or 4 bottles of water which we took when we went ashore.
The entertainment was varied the shows were excellent delivered by the ships dancers.
The dress code seems to be more relaxed which is a disappointment, there were less men in dinner suits, and more in shirt and ties or just open necked shirts. Many of the women didn't wear evening dresses or cocktail dresses they were more casual which applied around the bar areas also.
When venturing on land we did not book Celebrity trips we waited until we got off ship and took taxis or joined up with other cruisers for tours around the islands which worked out cheaper.
We enjoyed afternoon tea in our room and when asked if we would like a snack were supplied with hot chicken sandwiches, chips and salad, we had to eat it even though we had only had lunch 2 hours earlier and evening meal was only 3 hours away.
My only complaint is when tea was supplied in the restaurants the water was luke warm which did not enable the tea to brew properly, in the speciality cafe it was hot and if you didn't ask cream was supplied instead of milk.
Other than that our trip was fantastic luxury all the way, we have booked for Australia /New Zealand cruise Feb 2016 for our Silver Wedding we cannot wait.
