From the moment we entered the cruise terminal, all was terrific! Pleasant people to check passports and welcome us aboard. Nice music on the Lido deck and the food was fine. Love the Mongolian Grill! Waiters were always available for drink orders. Had super service and care in the dining room from Ivo and Kevin. Ivo often brought us a second helping if he noticed we liked something especially well and always greeted us by name. We had a beautiful cabin stewardess from Romania who always said, "Hello, my darlings!" each time we saw her. We had gorgeous weather everyday, so that certainly added to the beauty of everything! The show on the second night was superb; VERY professional and Vegas like-a bit provocative, but still tasteful. We loved Tommy Drake the comedian/juggler for the family show. He was cute and very likable. We heard the comedian Azeem for the Adult comedy and after he talked about wanting to kill his wife, we left-very disgusting and amoral. We did give him another try for his family show, and he was funny talking about buying junk in the Bahamas. We enjoyed seeing Wee Jimmy, the cruise director, on the tv in the rooms, but didn't see much of him about. The quiz games at the Mirage were enjoyable, as well as the towel folding class. We attended a lovely tea in the Piano bar with cakes and cucumber sandwiches with kind servers. My husband loved the turkey ruben sandwiches in the deli. In Freeport, we took a $7 taxi van ride to Tieno Beach-great informative driver and nice beach with excellent service. In Nassau, we booked from Carnival the $59 boat to Balmoral Island-absolutely gorgeous clear water beach that included lunch! My husband enjoyed the craps table on the ship and said the casino workers were good, especially as he kept on tipping them. We ordered room service the night before for 6:30 a.m. each day, and coffee, sweet rolls, fruit, and tomato juice were delivered promptly. We bought several really nice photographs and are basking in the memories of an absolutely delightful cruise! Smooth sailing all the way!
We love the restaurants at Port Canaveral, especially Milikens and Rustys.
