Embarkation at Singapore was quick & smooth no queuing, as was disembarkation at Dubai, We had booked a cabin on decks 4 - 8 But the day before leaving were told it would be on deck 1 This was so noisy what with being right under the dance floor & next to where metal shelves or containers were DRAGGED across the metal floors every night. Passengers in these cabins all complained but nothing was done for the 14 nights, Beware of inside cabin No's 1040s to 1070s Missed not having tea-making facilities we have had on other cruise ships..
Water was dripping everywhere, There were permanent buckets at the entry to Brittania Restaurant & Theatre Wet tables & chairs in the Lido could not be used, the stench of damp carpets was dreadful although there were no end of blowers continually working. No surprise the ship was on Red Alert with Norovirus surely there must be bacteria breeding in all this dampness ?? There was a new case of Norovirus on the day before disembarkation that I know of so it is still ongoing for the next cruise to Southampton. There were 1,000 new passengers getting on at Dubai
The crew ... with a couple of exceptions ..were a miserable lot I think Cunard should teach them all how to smile, at least & those on the inquiry desk to be able to talk & understand English.
