Good Ship, Good weekend, food okay

Sail Date: April 2014
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Tampa

We went on the 4 day cruise to the Western Caribbean (Cozumel) which was a great weekend away. If you need some time to unwind this is a great cruise out of Tampa, plus the port of Tampa is very easy to access.

The ship is in great condition, above everything get a balcony if you can afford it because the views in the morning and evening are great for relaxing on the balcony with a bottle of wine (you brought on of course). We enjoyed the activities on the boat, the productions were good for the ship size and venues, but thought there would be less kids (apparently Easter is a big cruise weekend). If you are an adult stay in the solarium and just relax there it is supposed to be a kid zone.

The only complaint was the food (fish) was dry every time someone at our table got it. Most other meals were very nice and the appetizers were interesting.

Go for the long weekend, take a Friday off and just enjoy. Perfect short getaway and if the price is right why not. Less

Cabin review: Brilliance of the Seas 86xx

The cabin was great and what made this good was the balcony, that little extra space with your own outside area you can sit and enjoy your wine or champagne and read a book. Well above the life boats and a little aft but close to everything.
