The Caribbean ten day cruise (4-4-2014) on the Celebrity Equinox was disappointing. It did not live up to my expectations or to the reputation of Celebrity as a premium cruise line. We were in Concierge Class. I thought it would be special compared to our previous eight cruises on other lines. Boy, was I wrong.

It started immediately with a disorientated life boat muster drill. Our muster station was in the theater. After walking down the five decks from our room (1025), we found our seating area. But we were never checked in. Other areas had someone checking them in or later calling their cabins. We never heard anything after the muster drill so it would appear we never attended.

When the ship docked, we were told announcements would be made when to disembark. None were made for any port and we almost missed a shore excursion. The only way I knew was by seeing passengers leaving from my cabin balcony.

Cabin Review

Cabin was dark compared to more brighter cabins on other ships. The bathroom was large compared to other. However the cabinet above the bed did not make up for a lack of storage drawers. It was also difficult for short people to use.
