We just came back from the cruise and we really enjoyed it!
Complimentary food was fantastic! The food and the service on the Complementary restaurants was perfect, nothing to complain about.
The inside cabin was ok, we got what we paid for.
The shows on the cruise were very enjoyable. Primary the circus, "magika" and the Second City Show was spectacular!! The cruise dancers and singers were OK, but nothing fabulous - I will give them 6 out of 10.
The crew was super careful, kind and respectful, they certainly earn the $12 per person per day. The only negative thing about those $12 a day is the fact that you also get charged gratuities for every single purchase you make.
The excursions are expensive as hell!!!!
Cabo: just take a local water taxi, pay $15 for them to take you see the arch, some beaches and leave you like an hour in one of the beaches. The driver also tells you some history and Mexican jokes. The same excursion costs $80 per person approx. The water is cold.
Mazatlan: worthless, nothing interesting to see. We took an excursion that was just fine. You can take a taxi (called spider or pulmonia in spanish), they will take you to all the important points in the city - nothing special - and then to a restaurant where you can also enjoy a Show. We went to the "La Playa" hotel, had lunch and enjoy a very nice show. We checked, and the lunch was $20 per person. In every hotel, you can pay around $15 and get access to their beaches.
Puerto Vallarta: Veeeeery nice city! No need to take an excursion at all, unless you want to do some extreme or outdoor activities. Go to the Malecone street and enjoy the market. From the port to the Malecone, you will pay $3/$4 per person. The beach is nice and the water is worm. You will need to pay $5 for the chair, and pay for a drink (at least $10 approx. in drinks each person).
