We have sailed with Princess on 8 cruises over the past year and a half, this was our first on the Crown Princess. We were very disappointed in the overall experience. Certainly not up to the usual friendly Princess style on the other ships we have enjoyed (Island, Golden, Sapphire and Coral). The entire crew was more or less not there, only going through the motions. Extremely poor service. Can't say as we saw many of the crew members smile. Actually, they all seemed rather unhappy to be there. One bright spot was our steward who was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, there was little to no interaction with crew members. They were very aloof and distant, with one exception, our waitress in the Crown Grill. She was simply superb, professional and very friendly. She was the highlight of the entire week. Plus, this was the very best food on the entire ship. Most of the food choices elsewhere were bland, boring and pretty much uninviting. The poor service from the dining staff didn't help any. Overall, this was by far our worst cruise with Princess. We currently have 2 more bookings on the Crown Princess this year. We are meeting with our travel agent this coming week to discuss cancelling these cruises. Do not wish to waste our travel dollars on a ship with a poorly managed and unfriendly crew. Our other complaint with the Crown Princess on this cruise was how much the ship vibrated. Of course we know ships creek and groan, but the vibration throughout our cabin was excessive in our opinion and very annoying. The noise level on this ship, especially music in public areas, was also excessive. There was never a comfortable location where one could find much peace and quiet. All of these things we found distressing and not something we have experienced on other ships. It is obvious the Crown Princess must be crossed off our list of potential future cruise opportunities.

Cabin Review

Princess staterooms are quite roomy and comfortable with good storage.
