This was a repositioning cruise for the Dream as it moved from its former home port of Port Canaveral to New Orleans. The itinerary was: Embark Pt Canaveral, 2 sea days, Aruba, one Sea Day, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, a Sea Day and Disembark in New Orleans. Our first time on the Dream which came highly recommended by friends.

So did we live the Dream or did the Dream turn into a nightmare? The trip-o-meter fell more to the living a dream. While not perfect, the plusses outweighed the minuses. Here we go:

Embarkation: Flew into MCO day of and had no problem with finding the ship arranged Shuttle. Contrary to what I was led to believe from others, they didn't wait until a full load and we were off within 30 minutes from picking up luggage. Trip to the port was no problem. Arrived just around 11am and got in line (no Fast to the Fun pass or priority boarding). Wish I could say the line moved quickly but it didn't and we stood in the little entrance building for approx an hour without moving an inch. Heard later that they had some issue but didn't hear what it was. After about a half hour they did bring some bottled water. But once the line started to move, no problems and got on board approximately 40 minutes after clearing security.
