Ship Facts: Carnival Breeze Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Breeze Deck Plans
Carnival Breeze March 9th!

This was our 2nd cruise. Our first was only 3 nights through Royal Caribbean. We chose this 6 night cruise because of the price and great ports; Cozumel, Montego Bay, and Grand Cayman.

Embarkation: Extremely easy! We parked with Port of Miami cruising for $6 a day. Yes, it was sketchy, but our car was untouched and you couldn't beat the price. Just ignore the homeless people on the side walks, it's downtown Miami! We waited probably 10 minutes on a shuttle, not bad. Also, this is the closest parking lot to the port with only being 3/4 of a mile away. We could have walked, but just pay the $10 for round trip, worth it! We got to the port around 1pm. We were in our room in 20 minutes.

Note: Make sure if you are trying to board with just a birth certificate that is not just a copy of the original. This family was having a hard time getting their 10 year old on the ship because they only brought a copy of his birth certificate. They require a raised seal/original. It was a Sunday, so sadly that family probably was out of luck :(

Our interior room: We loveddd our room! We were on deck 8. Nice vanity, big bed (a little hard, but oh well), great bathroom with lots of shelves near mirror, tons of closet space. The themes are adorable. We liked how you had to use your room key to turn on the lights, very modern.

Food: The food was much better on our Royal Caribbean cruise, but was still good on the Breeze. You must try the italian restaurant. $10/head but you get a 3 course meal with a beautiful view. Delicious!

Guys Burgers was amazing!!! We ate there most days.

We sadly never got to try the southern comfort buffet, noon-2 was never convenient for us because we were either off the ship or by the pool. Jimmy's BBQ is good, so definitely do that on a day at sea because it's the only time they're open. We dined in Blush. Get the chocolate melting cake!!!

Days at sea: Go to Serenity!!! Most comfortable chairs, hammocks, hot tubs w/ a bar right next to it. They have covered chairs too because believe me you'll want out of the sun after you've been in Jamaica haha. Bonus: no kids allowed which was so peaceful.

Shows: The shows are fun. Be sure to get in line for the comedy shows at least 30 minutes in advance!

Hasbro Game Show was a great family show. Our favorite show was a juggler from the Discovery Channel (sorry, I can't remember his name). Every night they play movies on the big screen near the pool. Very fun! The parties they have on deck at night are great for people watching!

Pools/Slides: The yellow twister slide almost made me cry, haha. It was fast! The orange slide is just plain fun! My boyfriend and I didn't bring kids, but believe me if you have kids they will loveee this cruise. There's a sky obstacle course, putt-putt, basketball court, and a lot of fun programs for them.

We spent most of our evenings in the hot-tubs either on Deck 3 or in Serenity. They were never crowded which surprised us. Not very hot, but warm enough. There are 2 pools, one in the middle below the big screen and one in the very back of the ship. The pool in the back was the best for us because there wasn't as many kids, really peaceful.

Ports: Grand Cayman was our favorite!!! We did a jet ski excursion through Fat Fish Adventures, tour guide was Ryan. Worth every penny! Tour was about 3-4 hours. We jet ski'd through the mangroves to sting-ray city. Sooo much fun! We snorkeled at Barrier Reef. Last, we went to Starfish Point and actually held starfish. Then it's about a 30 min jet ski ride back to the dock. This excursion made our trip!

Montego Bay, Jamaica: Sketchy! As expected, we were offered illegal thingse, but just say no and they'll leave you alone. Doctors Cave Beach was amazing! After we went to the beach we shopped on Hip Strip, can't say I'll ever do that again because you are hassled to the max. Overall, it was a fun day, but very sketchy.

Cozumel, Mexico: We did a beach day excursion. All drinks/food included! It rained, but not on our parade haha. We had a great time!

Debarkation: Really easy just like embarkation. They have you wait in one of theatres in the morning. Then they let you leave on the order you arrived into the theatre. We were off the ship by 8am. Shuttled back over to our car. On the road by 8:30 with great memories!

Overall, the price can't be beat because of how long you are gone and the places you get to go. I enjoyed the Breeze!
