Great Cruise on the Carnival Fascination

We sailed on April 10th from Jacksonville,Fl. to Freeport and Nassau in the Bahamas.

We arrived at the terminal and had little trouble getting aboard. We arrived around 11:00 A,M. we had stayed the night before at the Courtyard by Marriott Kendall Town. Fantastic hotel... Very clean and the rooms were great and a very friendly staff. We got a shuttle from Checker Cab and they sent two shuttles as we had 19 people in our group. Cost $ 6.00 per person to and from the cruise ship.

Check in was quick and soon we were on board and allowed to go to our cabins to drop off carry on items.

Then up to the Liddo Deck for lunch. Very Good variety of food.

Then explored the pool area and had a couple of drinks. Went thru the safety briefing and sail away party.

It was pretty awesome going under the huge bridge.

Time to get ready for supper in the Inspiration Dining room. Great Table and waiter and servers. The selections were very good. Always stat with shrimp cocktail and Ceasar Salad. All of my selections were perfect and hot. Steak, Lobster, crab cakes, Grilled Mai Mai , etc.

First stop Freeport.... Winds were too strong for deep sea fishing that we had planned so we just walked around the port stores and had a few drinks.

Second Stop Nassau.. We have already been to Atlantis several times and di not wish to go. We tried one of the new beach excursions to Balmore Beach. You are shuttled there and have about four hours there. We found a couple of chairs and an umbrella. We bought the excursion that furnished lunch. Very clear water. Also a dolphin show is available.

Okay here is the downfall of this excursion...... a bottle of water is $ 6.50, a frozen drink is $ 12,50 and a can coke is $ 6,50... a little much ,,, when we got back on the shuttle back to shore I purchased a can coke for $ 2.00.. Just does not seem quite right !! Now the frozen Mango/Dream was very good but not $ 12.50 good.

Next day was at sea/

The floorshow " MOTOWN " was fantastic !!!

Getting off the ship was quick as we were the self assist passengers.

I know this is not much but it was a great cruise and yes we will most likely do it again with some more people in the future !!!!
