Our cruise on the Liberty was AMAZING!!It was just my husband and I we are in our 30's.Our itinerary was
day1 At Sea
day2 Belize City~RCCL excursion.snorkeling at Rendezvous Caye
Day3 Cozumel~ Mr Sanchos Bar and Beach
Day4 At Sea
This was a trip I booked the airfare 6 weeks out and hoped the cruise would come down in price and with 3 weeks to go I got an awesome deal..
The Liberty of the Seas was beautiful and we look forward to sailing on her again and with our kids. There are many kids on the ship but there are many kid areas and hardly noticed they were around.Liberty has a great Solarium for adults only though it fills up quickly on sea days however I did manage to get 2 chairs together though in the shade for the morning.
The food was great all the time and anywhere we ended up.We ate at many areas;Windjammer,MDR, Cafe Promenade,Sorrento's..All of these were at no extra cost..MDR had escargot and also lobster tails included..And if you ever wanted seconds of anything just ask and they gladly brought it..Our dinner time was 8:30pm which worked out great we didn't feel rushed. If we wanted something to hold us over until dinner we headed to the Windjammer to have Sushi and drinks which it opened at 6-630 then off to a show, then dinner at 8:30.
We had the premium drink package and was very satisfied with the selection..Had many frozen drinks, martini's,bellini's,beers, champagne, jameson and gingers, and also bottled water..
We had an interior cabin#8677..great location!!Loved that the shower had glass doors rather than the curtain and we also had a loveseat which is where the suitcases stayed..This room was much roomier(as an inside cabin could be)than on the other ships I have been on..
In Belize we did the RCCL excursion to Rendezvous Caye for snorkeling and a beach day..The boat for the excursion picks you up at the ship seeing it is a tendering port(approx 20min tender to the port)The snorkeling was just OK..Not going to recommend it to anyone who has snorkeled in tropical areas..Fish were blah in color and saw just a handful of color on the entire snorkeling excursion..the Beach was nice and the weather was Beautiful!
After we got back to the ship we decided to tender into Belize City to do a bit of shopping..We got into a taxi that took us to a t-shirt factory and rum factory in the city, the driver was very nice and showed us around the city which is very poor and has a high crime rate..
In Cozumel we decided not to do an excursion as we just wanted to go to a beach and relax..We got into a cab and headed to Mr Sancho's Beach Bar..This place was great and the highlight of our trip!! We recommend going here rather than doing the RCCL excursion to Playa Mia.. We had the option of doing there all inclusive package which included food, drinks,VIP area, pool with bars, water park and activities for $55..But choose to go A la carte and just have drinks..and utilize the "non VIP" area which was fine with us we had access to chairs and the beach and that's what we were looking forward to. We enjoyed 30 minute massages and also I visited the Islander Fish Spa(highly recommend) to have a fish pedicure..
Mr Sancho's also offers free wifi which made our day as we got to Skype with the kiddos..Also if you post a picture and tag yourself at Mr Sancho's Facebook page you get a tequila shot..
Great Place we had a beautiful day all around and would highly recommend Mr Sancho's for all ages..The taxi was $16 and it's about 15 mins away from the port..
The shows were very good we saw In the Air(cirque du soliel) type of show, Saturday Night Fever the musical, and also a concert like show forgot the singers names, they had been on Americas Got talent and a few other reality music shows..The comedian on board was good also..We never got to see the Ice Show..
They had many activities throughout the sea days..
My DH enjoyed the casino..
