We chose a getaway cruise, 5 nights to Key West and Mexico, with several friends. We were in 1138 Aqua, and others in our group were either AQ or Concierge. All agreed that cabins were very clean, tastefully decorated, well maintained. Public areas were the same. We all dined together in Ocean Liners and it was fabulous! Alternate nights we dined in BLU and it was excellent, while friends in the main dining room enjoyed that as well. Dining highlights also included a lunch at Bistro on 5 and afternoon sushi from the buffet, as well as those great burgers at the pool! We also liked the brownies at Al Bacio with coffee each day, and I am sure we all gained a few pounds!
We did not attend any evening shows, but spent time in the various lounges, the Sunset bar, the martini bar and the night club, Reflections. We loved the guitar player at the Sunset Bar! What a perfect way to enjoy an afternoon! Music in other areas seemed to be appropriate in both genre and volume. We liked the More
dance vibe in the Martini bar! It made it seem like the party it was supposed to be! We also spent several evenings in the casino and participated in several of the tournaments on sea days. Dimi, who hosted these, was an absolute delight, and had us all laughing throughout!
The pool was crowded, but chairs could be found, with the exception of one day when the wind was too bad to go to the top deck. I spent that morning at the Persian Gardens instead, and enjoyed it. While it isn't the amazing view that the S-class ships offer, it was still a nice retreat.
We enjoyed the beverage package, as did all of our friends, and we never had any issues with service at any venue, but our favorite was the Sunset (Oceanview café) Bar. Our cabin was right above it, and as we began walking downstairs, the bartenders would wave hello to us and have our drinks on the bar by the time we got there! Our room attendants were as attentive, always addressed us personally, and kept our cabin very clean.
My only issue with this cruise is Customs wait upon our return. While this isn't the fault of the cruise line, I wish there could be a better place to wait, or that they could allow us a little extra time in our disembarkation lounges prior to us standing in line for an hour+. Having said that, I would do it again tomorrow if I could! Instead, we booked for January and March! The Constellation is a beautiful, well maintained gal! I am sure if you look hard enough, you can find fault, but if you just want a great experience where all of your meals, drinks, accommodations and surroundings are top notch, this is the ship! Less

Beautiful aft view, over the Sunset Bar. No issues with smoke, although the twin cabin, 1141, where friends were, said they noticed it each morning. Convenient to a cocktail, a quick breakfast, or a dip in the pool! Great bathroom, shower doors do leak a little, but not a big deal. Good storage, but the cabin is a hint tight, with the beg almost touching the adjacent mirror. Still enough room for a couple on a 5 or 7 night cruise.
