This was our 5th Cruise on Carnival and 8th Cruise in total. We do not have a many bad things to say about our trip. First of all we stayed the night before at the Maya, which was quite a deal. The total cost of our room was $139.00 and it would have cost us $117.00 to park in Carnival's parking structure. We did not have expedited boarding, but even with a sold out ship thought that Carnival did a great job organizing and getting people on board. I do not like the fact that they don't have protection from the elements, but we were fortunate to have great weather on the day we departed. We were on board by 1:15 p.m. and our balcony cabin 4187 was ready. We loved this particular location because it was an easy trip up to the Lido deck and ditto to the dining room which was just below and were low enough to the water that with our door propped open at night could hear the sound of the ocean. It was a bit of a hike to the front of the ship, but helped us to walk off some of the food we consumed. Our room steward Yovanny was awesome as well as our dining crew (anytime dining) Imade & Ruithe. We spent two days in Cabo San Lucas, since we have been there before elected to stay on board the first day and enjoy the Serenity Pool. Day two in Cabo we tendered off around 10:00 a.m. and did some shopping and enjoyed a couple of "ritas" along the pier. Next day we arrived in Puerto Vallarta and went on the Las Caletas tour. We thought that this tour was well worth the $'s. All food & drinks (alcohol included) were provided and you could do as much or as little as you wanted. We would have done some swimming, but there were lots of jelly fish!!! On the trip back to the ship the crew entertained us with a fun and crazy singing act. We spent a little bit of time in the Casino and broke about even. Went to both of the main shows, the second one better than the first and went to one comedy show which was not the best.

All & all we had a wonderful cruise and will cruise with Carnival again. We really like the Carnival's Spirit class ships. I only wish that after we left Puerto Vallarta that they would have stayed in the warmer climate of Southern Baja for at least 1 more day. The two days home were pretty chilly, but that may not be a problem in the fall when it is warm all of the way home.

Cabin Review

This was a nice quite balcony cabin with a solid wall on one side of the balcony. It was closer to the water (which we like) so that you could see the aquatic life better than the higher decks, and can hear the sound of the ocean. Just a quick up to the Lido or a quick down to the Main Dining Room from the AFT elevators. Only con that it was a bit of a hike to the front of the ship which is where the Showroom and Casino is located. Would book this cabin again!
