Amazing cruise

Sail Date: April 2014
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

So glad we chose Celebrity and the Constellation. Beautiful ship, amazing cleanliness, which I love. Were upgraded to Aqua Class because of a big price drop. Only booked it two weeks, out. The staff are friendly, service and value are good. Both shore excursion we did through the ship, the Chanukabaab park in Cozumel and the debarkation, air-boat ride, FLL airport drop-off were great. Ship always let you know what was going on. Very quiet, not many kids or young boisterous adults, but something for everyone. Loved dining in the Blu restaurant and use of the Persian spa.. Food was outstanding, and amazing buffet choices in the Oceanview Cafe. Even a buffet for the kids, burgers were great by the pool, even offered turkey and vege burgers, gluten free choices. as well, in all the restaurants.

Got on early, 11.15, and our room was ready by 1pm. Stateroom staff were so efficient, but barely saw them. Room was lovely, good location, just a smattering of these rooms on deck 11 at More back of ship, right above oceanview cafe, even a sitting area outside of rooms. Very clean,a nd lots of storage. Balcony had two chairs, two end tables and foot stool. Great location. Had to walk outside to access other points on Deck 11, as rooms only at the back. Nice touch, lighting around mirror at desk, outside balcony light, drawers that don't slam, close themselves, and nightly canapes, and a bottle of champagne, upon arriving on the ship.

We had a wonderful time and can't imagine ever going back to Carnival. Can't wait to go again. Less

Port and Shore Excursions

Chankanaab National Park Tour

Charly, our guide was outstanding, took such good care of everyone. IF you take a tour through the ship you don't get hasseled by the vendors trying to sell you excursions as you walk through the shopping plaza. He guided us all the way, was very enthusiastic and friendly, and genuinely wanted us to have a good time. So much to do here. Sea Lion show, you can swim with the dolphins. The value is good,a s it is $11 each way by taxi, and $22 to enter the park, and $12 for snorkeling. I believe we paid $49 each for this tour. Instructions all the way for snorkeling and where everything was in the park. Showers and change rooms, very clean. Ate on the beach, and joined up with the tour at the Sea Lion show. Not quite enough time here, you could definilty go on your own, very close to port. But we got back to the ship after walking around the shops for half an hr, and the torrential rain hit, so glad we came back. A great excursion.

Wish we would have rented a scooter, a double scooter was only $45 for the day. We didn't realize how cheap they were, by the time we inquired after so much walking, it was near the end of the day. Lots to do. could see the Saturday night carnage of partying after we arrived on a Sunday morning, garbage in the streets, beer bottles, cans, lots of debris. The cleaners were out picking it up. We could hear the roosters cock a doodling from the ship as the sun rose. Lots to do, great restaurants, shops, and history abounds. We visited Hemingway's house and the lighthouse across the street. We ate at the Southernmost point restaurant, very good choice. Th-re is a Starbucks, on Duval street, with free WiFi, and so much to chose from its hard to describe. Do your research and enjoy beautiful Key West. We even managed to take in the sunset, as we sailed away. It was worth it.
