Ship Facts: Carnival Freedom Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Freedom Deck Plans
Great Cruise

We flew in the day of the cruise and arrived in FLL at 10:45. No issue getting a cab and to the port we went. The wait time in the terminal was long for some reason. We arrived at terminal around 11:30 and people were sitting everywhere. Finally about 12:15 they started calling Elite and FTTF. We were on the ship by 12:45 and found a table on the Lido to start our vacation.

We had #9245 balcony room on Lido and loved the location. Room steward was Sladana and she did an excellent job of having everything done when we returned to the room.

Traditional dining in Posh @6:00. Wait staff were amazing. We had Lerlak and Maurico, Errol was our bread guy and Tijana was our wine steward. They all knew our names and preferences by the second night and always spoke to us in different areas on the ship during the day. Food was very good. We traveled with friends, so had a variety of foods each night. The steaks were good and cooked perfectly to our requests. The spaghetti carbonarra was amazing as was the mac and cheese. Shrimp cocktail was available every night and we thought the Dija items were a fun way to try different things.

If you have not tried Tea Time on sea days, it is a nice experience. I highly reccomend it. Brunch in the MDR is also good. I had the tomato soup, Hey Porkchop and Mac and Cheese. They brought a basket of wonderful popovers as well.

Did not do alot of shows, but loved the entertainment in the Atrium lobby. Enjoyed several of the musical entertainers and the trivia games as well.

Cruise ship crews are a hard working group of people. We have never encountered a ship employee that did not have a smile on their faces and a cheereful "Good Morning". I know the ship is scheduled for drydock and I really looked for signs of disrepair, but honestly found nothing that seemed a problem. Everything was clean and crew were constantly striving to keep it that way.

In St Thomas we took a cab to Megans Bay. Beautiful beach, but go early and you may be able to get a table in the shade for lunch and just a break from the sun. 8.00 cab rider per person and 4.00 entrance to the beach.

Antigua, we did a walk about. Tortola, we took a ship excursion to Pussers Landing and sightseeing. Nassau was so crowded. We were #6 to port that day, so not alot of time spent on shopping.

Overall, we had a great time. Ship was great and crew was wonderful.
