I had never sailed on this ship when it was the Destiny, and I will say that on the surface this ship is beautiful. That being said I would never book this ship again as long as there are better laid ships with the same itinerary. What they did was to put every Carnival 2.0 upgrade on this ship and there just wasn't room. I believe they possibly could have pulled it off if they had not put 800 more people on the ship as well. The public areas on this ship are just too crowded and congested.

They have taken what was the main floor of the theater on deck 3 and made that all into cabin cutting the main show theater into 2 floors only. It was very hard to find a good seat as it fill up early and lines form up to an hour ahead. People rush in from 4 different doors and its insane. There are no tables on the on the new main floor only arm chairs placed very closely together.

They cut the Punchliner Comedy club off of the back of Deck 5 and also made that space into additional cabins. The literally crammed the new Comedy club on deck 4 and it now holes 160 people. You do the math, 3500 people on board and a comedy club that holds 160! They totally ruined that experience on the Sunshine. It was always hard enough to get in a comedy club that held 500.
