Dining Room Issues
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
Have just returned from this cruise...there are certainly great things to say about the Silhouette, the ship is very clean everywhere and the ship is lovely. Our balcony cabin had so any creaks and bumps during the night that we did not sleep well, however, this happens. Our only complaint was that this ship offers Select dining or anytime dining but they do not know how to get it right. We had cruised the week before on Princess and when we asked to have dinner at 7:30 each night and at the same table this was no a problem, but on Celebrity it is a problem which is why I stopped sailing with them a few years back. Thought we would try again but they still cannot get it together...funny, we were on the Allure last year with 7,000 passengers and their anytime dining works perfectly, again, same table each night. The Supervisor on the Celebrity Silhouette was so incompetent I was shocked. She spent more time riding on the back of peoples electric scooters than she did planning. My More
husband has a walker and cannot walk well...each night I had to tell her not to place us at the back the of the dining room and each night it was a fight. They do not honour the time and you have no choice so you are better sticking to 'early' or 'late' dining thus getting the same table each night. Also, it took over one hour to receive our main course each night, too long a wait and the food was always cold. We loved the food everywhere else on the ship except the dining room.
The rest of the cruise was great...I think they do a nice job and all the crew are very nice with the exception of the dininer room. Less
