Princess is the only cruise line that we have found that has a self service laundry on board, which for a 15 days cruise allowed us to take less cloths.
We did eat in the main restaurant , Horizon court and the international Cafe. All food was excellent. We liked that the Horizon court had different international theme nites ( Asian, German, India, and Pacific).
As always the Pizza and grill for hamburgers/hotdogs were excellent.
Ships Casino- the worst around. Very outdated and the machines do not pay at all. Save your money!
Entertainment on the ship was OK, the shows are all only 30 mins. The production numbers were great but short. Sea days had plenty to do to make the time go fast on the way to Hawaii, coming from Hawaii to LA we found the sea days long, with not a lot to do, so we used the indoor pool.
Princess Star had 3 main pools and one children's pool.
Endsenda, Mexico - waste of time. No good deals even with bartering, save time and enjoy the ships pool. or just get off the boat and walk around the port area.
Hated the port of LA, if we had to do this cruise again, we would leave from another port. LA is very disorganized and we had to wait 45 minutes to get on board. Departure was awful, so disorganized ( at first we thought it was Princess) but it was the port people that were holding up the process. Luggage for pick up is great and very easy to find. Less

You really do not need a mini suit on Princess. The balcony rooms are a great size, we did have a mini suite for the first time, however in the future we will save the money and just get a balcony . If you are traveling on Princess you do not need the extra room. NCL you definitely need a mini suite.Princess has enough room to have all your clothes ( at least 20 hanger in the closet) safe in room and large area for suitcases.
