Ship Facts: Carnival Valor Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Valor Deck Plans
Another Wonderful Cruise!

We just got home from another great cruise with Carnival!

We flew into San Juan on Saturday and spent the night at the Hilton in Condado. We enjoyed the resort very much.

We arrived at the port at 11:30. We went to the (small) room where the Platinum check in was and it was terribly crowded. Certainly not a good setup. Everyone was still waiting to get on the ship and they were sitting everywhere! (lots sitting on the floor). We got checked in and went to the duty free shopping area (between the waiting area and the scanners). Right as we got there, they opened the door to the scanning area, so we were the first to board. Besides the TIGHT check in room, certainly no hassels.

I didn't know how it was going to be since there was not assigned seating on Sunday. I can't imagine how they could seat all those people 'on the fly', so we booked with the Steakhouse (free bottle of wine on Sunday). We figured that made it a better deal. The food was absolutely perfect. We considered it to be well worth the money.

On the other nights we were open seating. We had a couple of different sets of wait staff, but were not impressed. On Thursday night we were lucky enough to be seated in Zuzana's section. She was absolutely the best Head Waitress (or Waiter) we've ever had on a ship! She was perfect in every way! She made us feel so welcome and important. She was pure class. I can't even describe how wonderful she was. Needless to say, we sat in her section the last 3 nights!

The ports were all pretty nice. We did all our excursions through Carnival and enjoyed the Kayaking in St Lucia the most. The tour guides we superb. They made sure that everyone felt comfortable and had a good time.

Our favorite port is St Martin. We went to Orient Beach for the day and had the taxi drop us off in Philipsburg for some last minute shopping on the way back.

We loved the itinerary of this cruise and would certainly recommend it to anyone.
