We enjoyed our cruise with Norwegian Dawn. The ports (Roatan, Belize City, Costa Maya, & Cozumel) were beautiful and very warm! The staff did an excellent job of making sure we were happy and the Dawn was kept very clean. Our dining choice was always in the Venetian or the Aqua, and they both have the same menu. Although, we did believe the service was better in the Venetian. This is due to our head waitress, Nievar and her assistant. She explained the specials they offered each evening, she also reminded us of the schedule and/or time changes. She made sure we had our meals exactly as we ordered and our water/wine/coffee glasses never went empty.

It is smaller than most balcony rooms that we have had. Although, it was very clean and our room steward (sorry I can't remember his name) was very attentive with our needs. We needed a shower chair and extra mattress pad on our bed, due to our health needs. He took care of it immediately. He was excellent!!! This room is the last room on the 9th floor side. We had rough seas one night so it was noticeable more in this room than any room that we have had midship. It does rock you to sleep, this never bothered us. Although, if you believe it might bother you, you will not want this room.

The only down side (which several people) complained was there were several unsupervised (by parents)children in the pool area. I understand it is school break season. I understand the kids pool (comment by one child) was too small. Although, so is the adult pool on the Dawn. So, during sea days when so many want to be in the pool and the sign reads "no jumping" these children should have been told by their PARENT to follow the rules. The first sea day the staff tried to correct the children, the 2nd sea day I seen no NCL staff even attempting to stop this action (although, again it should be the child's parent/grandparent reminding the child of the rules)!
