This was our 2nd cruise, and our first in 12 years.
We enjoyed our time on the Norwegian Pearl, and visited most of the complimentary restaurants. We did not visit any of the for-fee eateries. We felt we had paid enough and wanted to experience the cruise without having to spend additional cash on food. We did find, however, that the menu didn't change all that much, all though the sit-down restaurants did have one side of the menu that stayed the same, and one side that changed daily. My wife was disappointed that Crème brûlée was never offered!
The buffet was good, but when I asked (on several mornings) for a one egg omelet, they always made me a 2+ egg omelet! I know it sounds like I'm a complainer, but my point is I hate to waste food and could never finish the omelet. Other than that, the food was very good at the buffet. Didn't try the pasta bar. The desserts were very good. The chocolate buffet on Wednesday night was ok, but I'm not a huge chocolate pastry fan, so it may have just been me.
