After enduring a harsh winter, my wife and 2 sons (7 and 10) booked a cruise on Carnival Pride out of Baltimore, leaving 3/30/14. Here's a summary of the +'s and -'s:
+'s
+Service was friendly and prompt, especially from the waiters in the dinning room, as well as from the cabin steward whenever we requested anything.
This cabin was quiet and we heard no noise from either adjacent cabins or from the Taj Mahal Theater below. From other reviews, I don't doubt that adjoining rooms have much less noise-dampening between them, so don't book one that has an adjoining interior door unless you're willing to deal with this. The extended balcony seemed especially worth it to us, as it had a lot more room than the standard balconies with unobstructed views for only about $100 more. The room we chose was for 4 people, so a 3rd bed was pulled out of the ceiling for our children's use. My wife and I slept on 2 double beds joined together, one son slept on the bottom twin, the other on the top twin (a ladder is provided). It was comfortable but tight when moving around. Being close to Camp Carnival was convenient.
