Where to begin. Experience cruiser hated this ship.

Yes, everything u read about the weird configuration of the rooms is true. The bathrooms suck. I'm funny and like a door with my bathroom. Curvy walls and a sink in the main cabin. Not charming. If u travel with more than one large suitcase i don't know where you'd put it. We had a larger balcony deck which was nice. Originally they tried to sell us a balcony on deck 8 which is right in line with all the tops of life raft boats. very obstructed view going on there. ship is endless interior hallways and not exciting interiors or exteriors. Barely views to the sea u r sailing on unless u r in your room on your balcony.

This ship is so uninteresting , its like a giant box set atop a barge. If u have cruised b4, there r no decks to just walk on and enjoy the sea. One walking/jogging track on deck8 directlly in line with the raft boats. it was like jogging in the bowls of the ship. no views here.

very unconventional ship plan. noisy chaos by the tiny speck of a pool (s) Forget going in a pool, they r taken over by children. Yes there r giant slides, kid activities galore and kids clubs. h20 area of the pool deck has a postage stamp (actual size) pool it's supposed to be for 18 and over, but not enforced.

Food is average in the dining rooms that r free. Service is below average. We had reservations in LaCucina one night and it was outstanding. Maybe this is the case for NCL. They save all the best food, service and atmosphere for anything u have to pay extra for. Kinda the way it goes on this ship, there is a fee for everything and i mean everything.

The ship holds 4000 passengers, and it felt that way. Its crowded all the time. Elevators, halls , public spaces, pool area, garden cafe r all mobbed with people. The only outdoor eating area on the whole ship is outside the garden cafe doors where the great outdoors meets the pool/pool bar area and the chaos. No breezy open air back deck to chill on while eating.

Entertainment is good, but, didn't really care for making reservations for complimentary shows. If u don't do it in advance of your trip u probably won't get in. And found our the earlier shows for the Second city r 'family' shows. omg. yukko. Legends show good and Blue Man good too. I've seen Cirque shows many times elsewhere, wasn't interested in that here plus there was a fee.

There is something to be said for being super casual all the time ( less to pack) ala Freestyle cruising. But the reason we go on a ship is to feel some luxury and not feel like some mediocre hotel. And the best kept secret on this ship is the 18th floor (take the elevator in the pool area) and walk all the way to the front of the ship. This entire area is the quiet zone. Front of the ship has oversized wicker loungers and beds with thick cushions to sleep away the afternoon. Bar service walks by regularly and there r showers to cool off in.

A bad day on a cruise ship beats any day in the winter in Michigan.

Yes, everything u read about the weird configuration of the rooms is true. The bathrooms suck. I'm funny and like a door with my bathroom. Curvy walls and a sink in the main cabin. Not charming. Not a fan of brushing my teeth with an audience. Also not a fan of the front door of the room opening up between the shower and the toilet closets. If u travel with more than one large suitcase i don't know where you'd put it. We had a larger balcony deck which was nice. Barely views to the sea u r sailing on unless u r in your room on your balcony. Beds weren't comfy. If you are tall, you will hang over the edge. (I'm 5'10" & 6'4")
