Star is still great
Just came from the Star Princess to Hawaii March20th to April 4th. It was a very nice getaway.
First off I have to say the cruise was tremendous and the islands were just great, but it is just to many sea days for my wife. We did have some rough seas on a few days and it was chilly on the water and overcast most of the time going out of LAX to Hawaii but once we got there the weather was much better and got some much needed sun.
Only bad thing that happened was when we got to Pearl Harbor the Navy had stopped running the boats over to the memorial. Cant beat Mother Nature as it rained hard the night before and a lot of tree branches got into the motors of the boats. Had a real good tour of the city that was tied into the Pearl Harbor tour and it was tremendous, we did this thru Roberts tour company for about 1/2 the price. Also did the volcano tour thru Princess and was not impressed with it. But all in all the cruise was very good.
The shows were great and More Dave and Eula we also very good. The best show I saw by far was the Hypnotist Matthew Fallon, if you ever get to see him make sure to do it. There were other good shows also, plenty to do all sea days but just looking at water for 5 days is to much. I wanted to do it so it is no fault of Princess. We also had a good M&G and it was attended by 8 officers.
The food was excellent as we had anytime dining in Portofino, the waiter and his assistant Arturo and Luis we very good. The Horizon was also good with many pleasent people. Less
