Ship Facts: Oasis of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Oasis of the Seas Deck Plans
Great Family Cruise

We booked five balconies, side by side, for our kids, grandkids, and ourselves--which gave us one long balcony for moving between cabins and a feeling of spaciousness you don't get with one standard veranda.

We love sailing on Oasis or Allure with our family because it offers something for everyone, regardless of age. (We range from 74 to 11.) Even though the ship is scheduled to go in for a sprucing up later this year, every thing still looks in great shape, from the public areas to the cabins themselves.

We have always booked all the shows we want to see pre-cruise, in order to insure we get seats when we prefer. I don't know if this is absolutely necessary, but it seems like a good idea.

Last year we loved our cabin attendant's cheerful attitude and attention to detail, and had a great team in the main dining room as well. The waiter kept the kids entertained with magic tricks almost every night. This year our cabin attendant seemed bored at best and did the minimum required to keep our cabins clean. This certainly didn't spoil the cruise, but is atypical of the staff on a Royal Caribbean ship.

As always, the kids and grandkids loved the variety of things to do, from the rock climbing wall to the zip line to the flow riders to ice skating. No one ever said, "there's nothing to do," or pulled out their electronic devices.

In short, we had a great time, on a great ship, with a great crew. Looking forward to going back.
