My wife and I have cruised with Carnival several times since 2009. This was our first time on Glory and first time out of Miami. Embarkation was a breeze, and was on lido having a burger within an hour of our arrival. The cruise was to Nassua, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico and Grand Turk.. The one thing that's complicating at first is the layout of the ship. The second thing is the staff in the platinum dining room. The staff in dining room is slow, ineffective, and no sense of humer. The food on the ship is decent but not 5 star.. the biggest complaint I have is the music. Most of the time in the busiest parts of the ship ie casino, main lobby, and the lido deck pool was Cuban music. I don't have a problem with it but not everyday all day long. When there in the casino they cause a huge human jam and its really hard to get in or out of the casino. Most of the time they were their in the evening when people are trying to do pictures and have fun gambling. We prior to cruising we purchased the Ins thru carnival and were told if anything is lost, stolen, or broken we would be made whole.NOT TRUE. The Ins isn't worth the paper is written on. Just another way to get more money out of you. Disembarking on the Islands, or in Miami is a total joke. I don't think they quite know what their doing. Oh and the emergency drill you do prior to sailing is murderous. You have to go to deck 4 and they have solid walls there with small openings no air and with a thousand or more people there the temp gets to about 100 degrees. My wife and I have decided this was probably our last cruise with Carnival. They have scaled way back on certain things. Another thing with Carnival they have done some revamping with the point systems. Our last three cruises with Carnival we were Gold members but now we have slipped to red members which did not give us anything extra like previous cruises with carnival. I didn't think it was possible to go backwards in VIFP club but we did..Im sure there are better cruise lines who value their long time cruisers more then carnival.

Cabin Review

Cabin was decent. Our cabin steward was great. The only complaint I have is a glass that I had a drink in stayed on counter the whole cruise half full. Our toilet had a crack in it on the first day but was replaced with a new one quickly..
