Sail Date: Mar 2014

We just completed our second voyage on the Celebrity Silhouette. We sailed on her in January 2014 but this time the Western Caribbean instead of the Eastern.

Boarding:

We are Elite members and also had a sky suite- boarding was very smooth and efficient. Went on a short line to register and got our seapass card. We took our usual boarding picture. As we entered the ship on deck five- we were offered champagne. We then proceeded to make speciality dining and spa reservations. For lunch, as we like to do on boarding day-we went to Bistro on Five. We each enjoyed a crepe for lunch with a small salad. Since we had the upgraded drink package-we also had pelligrino and espresso. We skipped dessert but have had the dessert crepe on a previous sailing and loved it. Our suite was ready about one. We entered a beautiful Aft Sky Suite. It was a huge combo living bedroom with loads of storage. The balcony was wrap aroung- while not huge it allowed us to have a great view of the wake and the side of the ship. At first I was apprehensive about a cabin so far aft- but it was smooth, quiet and not a big deal walk to the mid-ship elevators- would take that cabin again for the right price without hesitation. Our Butler, Dominic arrived shortly after we entered our cabin. He was wonderful! Every morning would bring us speciality coffee and breakfast if requested. Every afternoon he would leave a plate of snacks and appetizers for us- We also had a very good Steward Ariel and Steward assistant Antonio. They kept our suite immaculate and well stocked. We unpacked once the luggage arrived (aroung 3:30) We also had the muster station drill which is held indoors and you do not have to carry you life jacket with you-a pleasure! We then went to the Sunset Bar to meet some cruise critic guests for the sailaway- Our first dinner was at the Lawn Grill- our favorite restaurant!! We enjoy the fresh salad bar, grilled dishes and the wonderful pizza appetizer. After dinner we went to the Martini Bar- spent many hours at the Martini bar during the cruise! Thank you Ardness, Adrian and Sasha for the wonderful drinks and floor show! We also enjoy the Molecular Bar. Suzanne was great and made wonderful drink creations. The 123 Bev package is wonderful-but if you like the Martini's, and premium drinks- upgrade!
