Enchantment is Enchanting

Sail Date: March 2014
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Port Canaveral

We cruised with 1800 "Spring Breakers" (2700 passengers) and had a great time. No problem getting seats in the theater, because they were busy doing their own thing. Well behaved group of young adults who enjoyed dancing on deck, meeting (flirting) with others in their age group, and enjoying the ports.

Great cabin, in general. Largest Balcony on the ship with an overhang over a small part of it to offer shade and protection when it rains. Slider from both the living room and the master bedroom to get out to the balcony area is great. Second bedroom very small and clothes need to be stored in the drawers in the living room. We needed to unplug the TV in small bedroom to plug in the baby monitor (no other outlets). We also moved the tray with the coffee maker and tea kettle to the vanity in the hallway, because there wasn't an outlet for them where they were located in the living room. Large spacious living area has a sofa and five chairs (and a flat screen TV). Interior More slider and curtain provides privacy in the master bedroom. As mentioned earlier, master bedroom has separate access to the balcony (so if someone is sleeping on the sofa, you will not wake them up. Master bed room also had more storage that we could begin to use. Both bathrooms were updated and had storage (very nice). I would cruise again in this cabin and highly recommend it.

I really liked the way they stretched the ship, in the middle, several years ago. The ship had a unique feel about it because of this.

Movie screen is a nice addition, similar to what is offered on Princess. Just wish more thought went into what was shown and when. Preschoolers are not ready to watch violent movies noon/early afternoon, but would have loved to see Frozen (which was shown later at night) while they had the pool area for them open. There were two kids in the pool for a few minutes until they got freaked out.

Service on this ship is outstanding in general. The only area that was slow was room service-I think they need more help in that department. The Captain and crew were wonderful and personable. Recent cruises have included both Freedom of the Seas and Adventure of the Seas; Enchantment blew both of them out of the water. We are going back on her again soon. Less

Port and Shore Excursions

Nice beach stop. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars was the lunch. Everyone had to go to one place, and it did get bottled up. If the food was spread out to another of the areas provided, the lines would have been shorter and it would be easier to find a place to eat. The food was good, with the exception of the ribs, which were a little dry and over cooked. Second time at this port. We enjoyed it both times (and kids love the soft sand and shallow water).

Blue Lagoon Island Beach Day

What a lovely beach! Actually, lovely beaches to choose from. We enjoyed the lunch and found the refreshments to be reasonably priced. Play areas for the kids (both in and out of the water), hammocks for the adults (and a nice adult bar, if you want a tropical drink), and many sunny/shady areas to choose from. Very nice. Very clean
