My wife and i got married on 3-14-14,,had lunch with our families ,then left to galveston,to stay the night in order to be in galveston first thing ,,,to not run late...the hotel we stayed at was the howard johnson,,and besides being very reasonable rates,,,the people there were so helpful..we were also able to leave our car there and didn't have to pay for parking ,which i heard is about $70- $100 dollars for the 5 days we were gone, and were shuttled to and from the boat..NOW,about the cruise,,,we had an awesome time...EVERYBODY was so nice ..the crew on this ship gave EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE.!!!.i believe them to be the MODEL crew for the whole carnival line of cruise ships!! the cruise director JEN,,was always so bubbly and cheerful,,no matter what time of day we saw her!! the food was awesome also!!!our server Iria was so professional at his job,,yet compassionate! if you were hungry,it was your own fault,,,cause ,when the restaurants closed down,,there was room service 24-7,,and let me tell you,,,they were pretty quick about getting to your room,,unlike hotels ,,,all in all,,on a scale of 1-10 ,i give the carnival Triumph, crew,,a 12.......and then some.also,, the shows were outstanding and everything on the ship was clean!! there were people cleaning somewhere ALL the time,,.and let me add,,,our porter,Ketut,,was so helpful and friendly...once you told him your name ,he remembered it..how he does it i don't know,,but he was calling Everybody on our floor by name,,,he is AMAZING,!!!and the TOWEL animals were darling!! Carnival cruises,,please remember the names Robert and Cheryl Ashton ,,cause we Will be back for future cruises!! WITH CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES!!! and lets not forget ,the captain,,he gave us a very smooth ride considering how rough the water was at times!! GREAT JOB GUYS!!!
