Great Itinerary: Carnival Glory Cruise Review by Cruise Coot

Destination: Western Caribbean
This cruise was our first time in the Western Caribbean. The islands were great. We especially loved Roatan. Our dinner severs Vincent Zitha and Mi Wayan were very attentive and treated us royally. The food, while plentiful, was mediocre. The best part were the appetizers and desserts. Another guest told us it was a new menu. It needs more work. The servers also need to learn what side dishes come with the main course. We often ordered sides only to learn that sides came with the entrée. The food on the Lido Deck was usually good, especially the burgers.
All in all, I More wish I was still cruising. Less

This is a great room. Spacious. Good bed. Plenty of storage. The mini-bar was a good place to store juice from breakfast to drink later in the day. Very quiet hallway.
Port and Shore Excursions
We were treated like celebrities. Rocky Shores is a beautiful spot. Lounged on the beach and never had an empty glass. The food was super and my wife enjoyed a message under the palms. Rafiki from Tripping Cool was a great host.
Nice snorkel stops. We were in 8 - 10 feet of water. They did not require reef safe suntan lotion but should.
What a treat. The catamaran captain kept us all entertained. The photographer got some great photos. A little steep as you had to buy all 10 for $40.
I can't say enough good things about Roatan Trips and Tours. We wanted to get away from Carnival's sanitized Mahogany Bay as quickly as possible and see the real island. Our driver, Jonathan, picked my wife and me up outside the gate for our private island tour. We saw some magnificent views and beaches but the best part was seeing the neighborhood where he grew up and other spots that most tourists don't see. This company's owner, Steve, gives part of the profits to fund a soccer league for underprivileged kids. Really cool. We would do this tour again in a heartbeat.
