Ship Facts: Adventure of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Adventure of the Seas Deck Plans
Good Cruise

This was our 11th cruise and our 2nd on Royal Caribbean. We always base on our cruises on the itinerary and we had taken this cruise seven years ago on the same ship. We love all the islands where the ship stops and each one is a bit different. We did not do shore excursions with the ship. We do favor Princess but we find each cruise has its pros and cons.

Embarkation was a breeze. We loved our balcony room and it is definitely bigger than those on Princess.

This ship is beautiful and well laid out. It was very clean but does show some wear and tear. The bed linens were clean as were the towels but many were gray and not white in color and frayed. They should be replaced and this has nothing to do with the age of the ship. Beach towels were not available on many days. They said there was a shortage because people leave them on the beach. On Princess your room steward leaves 2 beach towels, you return them and get 2 more or you are charged. Simple solution.

Entertainment was not good. There was no wow factor for us in any of the venues.

Food was fair to excellent. If we did not like something they gladly replaced it. We do wish they had more healthy options. For example I ordered the grilled chicken and it came with mashed potatoes. The next night I asked for a baked potato. We really like the layout of the cafeteria. Lots of room to move around and plenty of seating. We ate at the specialty dining room once and the food was very good as was the service.

The staff for the most part was very nice and friendly. The staff did a great job to keep us all well sanitized!! The cruise director was great.

Drinks were better priced than on Princess. We only have one drink per day and appreciated the fact that they did not bug us about this like they do on Norwegian.

On the day we disembarked they were running a bit late but made no announcement as to why. To us it would have been common courtesy to say sorry folks for the delay etc... For us we were about 20 minutes late but the rest of our party was 30 minutes late and none of us were told anything.

We would definitely cruise with RC again given a port intensive itinerary.
