After 50+ cruises on the Big Boys RCCL, NCL, Celebrity and Disney ... it was time to experience what Silver Seas is all about.
We opted for a Silver Suite. If you read the brochure before hand, it says the Butler unpacks for you and makes your dinner reservations ... neither true.
Frankly unbeknownst to me most passengers had already signed up at the specialty restaurants.
We went to departed from Fort Lauderdale for Cozumel, Costa Maya, Belize City and Key West. All forgettable places to visit. Tee Shirt shops and bars.
Unlike larger ships, this vessels seemed void of stabilizers and rolled terribly.
The Food was average at best.
The Service was inattentive.
The Entertainment was sophomoric.
We're in our early 50's and the average age of the other passenger was near 80 (at best) so be prepared for walkers and oxygen tanks.
Stars entertainment was good but the food terrible.
Le Champagne .. after slipping a $50 to the manager got in and the food and service was very good. Worth the $30 pp cover.
The Italian place sucked and we didn't dare to eat the sushi.
The casino was the size of a large walk in closet.
This was not the dream cruise we were so looking forward to.
