Ship Facts: Caribbean Princess Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Caribbean Princess Deck Plans
Cruise from Bayport Texas March 2014

Princess Caribbean ship in good condition, clean and sanitary efforts noticable throughout.

Ship had Norovarus situation about two months ago, however booked as Princess reputation good.

Day one to four, all food handling in Lido buffet performed by servers wearing plastic gloves who placed your selection to plate. Day five to seven discontinued as no health concerns from ship medical doctor.

Signs in Restrooms urging wash hands, and use paper towel to door handle on exit and place paper towel into waste receptacle near door. Hand sanitizers use urged and convienant located especially food areas.

Notified Princess specail access dept. two months advance our family had two deaf. Princess graciously supplied sign language interpreters. They were excellant, provided much understanding to our deaf members on tours to Excaret in Play Del Carmen, nightly show performances in front row with two additional deaf on cruise.

Bayport cruise port poor. Harbour restrictions delayed departure, advised takes three hours to clear channel to open sea, and subject to fog.

Terminal access line long tho advanced cruise documents were printed ready at gate.

Advised this is first year at Bayport, and possible termination future. Port is heavy commerical container.

Seabrook TX, overnight motel good, however no restaurant nearby, taxi availbility poor.

If you have cruised previousy, not interested in carrying additional clothes for Formal night, can reduce luggage handling by using 22" rolling suitcase, and small carry on type bag/case as there is self service laundry facilities with ironing boards on several decks. Smart packing techniques make it possible.

Additionally if use carry on luggage, disembarkation was a snap as we walked off 9:00 AM with notice to customer service on disembarkation document two days advance. Saved time looking for lugagge in Great Hall and Imigration.

Crew exceptionally polite. Gratutites automatically included in stateroom account fair.

Caution: Open dining not in all dining rooms at your time desired except for one in "Island" Dinning room.

Other dining rooms availbility after 7:30 PM. Lido buffet usually open all times, however 2-3 days Lido not open after 3:30 PM, buffet, food, seating in smaller rear Lido area open.
