Sail Date: Nov 2006

On November 5th my husband and I arrived in Miami, Florida ready to set sail on the Majesty of the Seas! This was our first cruise! We stayed at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami the night prior to setting sail. I highly recommend staying here before or after your cruise. The hotel is nice and right across the street from Bayside Marketplace which is full of shops and restaurants!

November 6 - Being first time cruisers we didn't know what to expect but getting onto the ship was a breeze! Be sure to arrive early (even though they tell you not to) because you will have a chance to look around the ship, eat lunch and have fun before anyone gets there. We were some of the first on-board and I was sipping a margarita in minutes! The first night we watched the comedian (he was okay) and went to dinner in the dining room. The food is absolutely fabulous! Order as much as you want, they really do not mind.

November 7 - We arrived in Nassau, Bahamas bright and early. My husband and I had booked the shore excursion to go on the party boat cruise. It was okay for the money we spent. The rum punch was watered down, but it was very nice to see the sites of Nassau on a boat. It was relaxing on the way there. On the way back, a typical party boat. We shopped at the Straw Market and walked to the Water Tower. The locals will try to braid your hair or sell you jewelry, but just say "No, thank you" and they will leave you alone. Back on ship, we got ready for formal night. Dinner was excellent yet again in the dining room but my husband got a migraine and we had to go back to the room. We missed the Love and Marriage show but I watched it in our stateroom and it seemed to be a hit!
