This was my 2nd trip on the Marco Polo, and my husband's 1st. We were disappointed not to see the Northern Lights, but we knew it wasn't guaranteed, but we still enjoyed the cruise despite the bad weather & rough seas. Our cabin was always clean and adequate for our needs. We didn't spend a lot of time in it. More draw space would have been good. We found the staff very helpful and very polite. We enjoyed the food in the Waldorf Restaurant, but found the food in the Marco Bistro wasn't always hot enough. I found the Medical Centre very helpful, as due to a fall in the mountains I needed medical assistance, yes the cost wasn't cheap but then medical care isn't when not covered by the NHS. That's why travel insurance is required. We met some lovely passengers on the cruise, and we enjoyed the relax atmosphere. We thought that due to the tragic accident on the ship in Feb2014, the Captain & crew were very cautious, but then nobody would want another tragic accident to happen again.
We are looking forward to booking another trip next year, perhaps the Northern Lights again.
