Don't get me wrong OOTS is a beautiful ship. There's tons of things to get involved with. However, when I cruise I'm not looking to dine in chain restaurants that's something I can do on any giving night in NYC. What happened to buffets and the cruise provided restaurants? Now it's become Maddison Avenue on a boat. Again, I don't need a cruise to go restraraunt hopping. I know things evolve and we are a more corporate society. But this was overkill. After the first few days I was over the scenery. And let me forewarn people especially those with children. This cruise is set up like a giant gift shop at the exit of an Amusement park. Thankfully this was a couples trip and the kiddies were left home. All the so called kid friendly activities will cost you. I laugh when people say "I got a really good deal" really? Well, that deal is nulled-voided when everything that's considered "fun" you have to pay for! And the food is poorly serviced so you'll be forced to buy from the chains.
Cruises over the last few years (the RC and NCL of the world) are all about low prices to get you on board and then nickel and dime you to death. This is why I took my kids on Carnival last year. No, they don't have a million chain restaurants or some hallway with some 3rd grade play park scenery called "central park" which is another overrated theme. But on Carnival it still felt like a cruise and not some resort with over priced restaurants. They are so concerned about adding all this extra junk that some if not most people will never utilize but just to take pics and post them to social media sites "hey look at my cool cruise ship" the cruise aspect is actually lost. I swear to you guys there were days I forgot I was on a cruise and that's not a good thing
And c'mon RC you guys still haven't upgraded your rooms yet? But I know you have so much COOL other things who needs a modern more spacious room right?
