My wife and I traveled on the Celebrity Reflection from March 15-March 22, 2014. The stops were in San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. First, the Reflection is a beautiful ship. Very clean and our veranda room on deck 6 was quite large. We were in room 6156 and it appeared we had a larger veranda than average (they all looked fairly big) as the room is located forward where the cabins bend in. Being forward, we were two decks above the theater and nearest to the shops. The Opus dining room was in the aft.

The bar service was a little slow on the first two days, but it appeared to us to get better as the cruise went on. Drinks were prepared faster and the bartenders appeared to just be working at a faster pace. Nice alcohol selection, if you are interested in that sort of thing, and a normal beer selection at most bars. We liked the micro brew oriented Michael's Club, but were told it was being closed the next week and changed into a whisky and cigar bar. On the plus side of that, we were also told that the micro beers will still be available on this ship, but they were not sure where as of the date of our cruise.

The overall food quality on the ship was uniformly good, but not great, in our opinion. It was not better than we have had on earlier Royal Caribbean or Princess cruises. As mentioned previously in the bar discussion, the food in the dining room also improved as the week went by. The service by the wait staff and sommelier in the Opus dining room was truly excellent. For the buffet, one item we especially appreciated was the availability of multiple curry dishes at the buffet lunch daily. We did not dine in any of the specialty restaurants. Read more
