We have just come back from a March 2014 Eastern Caribbean 7 day cruise on the MSC Divina. We are experienced cruisers; having been on 18 cruises. This is a new ship and the Company is new to sailing the Caribbean; being an Italian company with much experience in Europe. The ship is large, but very manageable with easy grouping of ships, entertainment, and outdoor entertainment. It is truly a beautiful designed vessel.
Despite 4,000 passengers, there is plenty of room for everybody on deck. At night, it can be somewhat more crowded in public places, but still very workable. The main dining room food was excellent, with lots of choices. Pasta and Italian dishes are commonly seen on the menus and buffets. The pizza at the buffet is absolutely the best we have ever had on a ship. There are usually 4 or 5 varieties. Each vessel of MSC has a 'pizza master' on board. Snacks during the day are plentiful; later at night more limited.
Lots to do on board on the open decks. The spa is a bit pricey, but fitness center is free and well-appointed. Excursions were fine. Lots of Europeans, but most announcements in English. Entertainment was first rate, with a European flair. Shows in enormous theatre were excellent - acrobatics, singing, dancing. We would come back. Highly recommended. Dan and Sue
