With only a few days to spare, my husband booked us aboard the Enchantment of the Seas for a quick get away for spring break with our two sons, ages 10 and 15. We live in West Palm so it wasnt a big deal to get to the port. We had sailed before with Royal Caribbean and figured it was a safe bet and after returning today, we returned quite satisfied with our trip and happy that we went! Initially after reading reviews from this web site, I was a bit worried because I had seen some negative reviews but now realize that you have to take chances and decide for yourself. I think some people actively TRY to be negative and always have something to complain about no matter what! At the end of the day, we had a blast! We arrived to a boat load of spring breakers....of all ages including college aged kids. at first, we were a little hesitant about that but at the end of the day, the spring breakers behaved as well as could be expected and even added to the fun!!! they brought a lot of energy to the various parties on board and even while docked in the Bahamas! the beach volleyball with these kids was fun for my husband and 15 year old! And the dance parties by the pool were fun , fun, fun!

The ship itself was perfectly fine..with.standard cruise ship decor. The staterooms were clean and comfortable. Our stateroom attendant kept it spotless and cleaned it several times a day. It was nice coming back to the room numerous times during the day to find it in tip top shape and at the end of the night, the character animals made out of towels never disappointed! Especially our 10 year old loved those! The ship itself was kept very clean and my husband and I had to remark that it was hard to believe how they kept it so clean with all these people running around all day. eating , drinking, in the pool, out of the pool, etc. they did a great job maintaining the place! The cruise ship director, Mark, was fun! The captain showed his sense of humor and we saw him several times. The food was VERY good and I'm picky. We were stuffed the whole time...taking full advantage of the ice cream machine especially!! It was hard sleeping at the end of the night, because we were so full...and having a 8:30 dinner time made it tough to digest before bed time! But I'm not complaining! We enjoyed the food in both The Windjammer restaurant and in the main dining hall. There was food continuously available and we were happy for that as my son and I slept in and had our eating schedules disrupted a bit! Later in the day, they had nachos available ( which were really good!)with burgers, hot dogs, fruits, salads etc. In the evening, we ate in the main dining hall and Our servers in The My Fair Lady dining room were awesome, Shareen and Edwardo!!! What great people with vibrant personalities and excellent service!! They never made us feel like we were imposing on them and often let us try different food that I normally wouldn't eat like the cold banana soup!!! Delicious!!!! The entire crew were fantastic! EVERYONE and I mean everyone was very friendly and helpful! These people work their butts off!!! no days off till August!!! Their mission was to make us happy and they did! What we thought was a ho hum cruise to the Bahamas ended up being a great vacation! And we travel a lot (this summer, we were in Berlin and Prague and in May, I am going to Italy for my 25th time at least!). I think my 15 year old had the best time though! The teen club which he hesitantly went to initially, was the highlight of his trip! The new found freedom he had was great for him...we let him stay as long as he wanted (the curfew for teens was 1:00am) and he made lots of friends...especially among a group of teens from Iowa who were part of a singing group performing on he ship. The dancing under the stars party on deck one night was a blast and all the teens were dancing the night away!!! That was fun to see! All in all, we had a super great time and my kids asked us if we could do it again next spring break!! We got a great price for this cruise and we definitely got our money's worth. Heck, tickets to Disney are now $100 a person, then you add food and lodgings and you are spending more! Not to mention, you're not schlepping around, hot and stressed out!

My husband and I relaxed, the kids had a blast and we will definitely be cruising again, hopefully in the future!!! Don't mind the negative reviews. Some people just attract negativity and are never happy! This cruise was great and for a short get away, it was PERFECT!
