Firstly the cruise was great. Warm weather and relaxing. I should state I am pretty relaxed. I have cruised about 12 times with many cruise lines and my favorite is Royal Carribean. There are good an bad with all cruise lines and in my opinion you get what you pay for.

The good points were : the large cabin and balcony; the port visits; the staff and the availability to bring on your own wine. I am a bit picky about wine and was able to carry on two bottles packed on in my suitcase and carried another one during the trip. The packages had some wines that were quite cheap and not to my liking. The entertainment was not good but I did not really care too much about that.

The two worst things were the food and the SMOKING. I have asthma and the smell of smoke can trigger an attack. I smelt in on my balcony at times and some places in the ship. Many cruise lines do not allow smoking on balconies and I will be considering them the next time. The food. The breakfasts and lunches were fine with many choices. The main meal lacked flavor. On most ships if you do not want to go to the diningroom for supper you can go to the LIDO area and there are usually a pasta bar or suishi or stirfry. Not on this ship. Even my teenage son found the food lacking in flavor. Most people do not seem to mind and just fill the large plates with food and shovel it down. I like the small seafood dishes ( which were very flavorful) at the fish and chips restaurant but this too closed early.
