Four couples booked balcony rooms, paid extra for them, with adjoining balconies. We specifically asked if we could I join the balconies by opening the partitions. We were told we could. Once on board, we were told we could not. First reason was someone might fall overboard. That made no sense. Next we're told it was a fire hazard. Again no sense. Next we were told it was a maritime law by the Coast Guard. Oh… Yeah, that's the ticket…
The FAQ on NCL's website says that for a five day or less cruise, shorts are okay for men in all the restaurants. One evening we were refused service until we went back to put on long pants in the French restaurant. This is completely against what the online FAQ told us.
We'll see if anyone from NCL contacts me regarding our poor experience, but I doubt it.
