Tokyo to Manila
ports out of walking distance from the towns. One Island missed due to a breakdown, this is my second cruise on the ship and the second time it has broken down, this time there was very little information on what was happening as the P A system was poor and the Captain hard to understand.
-Cabin was good with an excellent cabin steward
-Food was excellent but you had to get the timing right as it was busy in the Discovery unless you ate very early or if you ate later you felt you were being rushed.
-Crew the Filipino crew were excellent very friendly and efficient but even the goodwill generated by the crew cannot make up for the shortcomings on More board.
-Lounges not enough seating on sea days as the best one the Lookout lounge the one with panoramic views and seating for about seventy or eighty is reserved for a handful of Bridge players.
-Entertainment nothing special except for one very good singer, although there must be something about the performers as the cruise director seemed to spend all her time with them and only mixed with the passengers at the shows
-Library seemed to be on the busiest thoroughfare with people continually walking through.
A tour party of Americans were given priority on board always the first off at each port while we had to wait to go on our tours until they cleared immigration.
Not very even handed at joining or leaving the ship some passengers had an afternoon in Tokyo and a day in Manila while others on same route and airline arrived very late at night to the ship and left at 7 a m
on departure.L early or late bookings or grade of cabin did not seem to matter last time I travel on this ship Less
