Was a little skeptical about cruising with Carnival again, but I had nothing to worry about. No, not as upscale as Princess, or refined as Holland, but a personality of it's own. There were a few "colorful" individuals, you know, the "I'm on vacation, so forget manners or decorum", but you get that all over.
Room was good, but it is right under part of the Lido smoking area, and you do hear chairs & tables being dragged. You can also at times hear conversations from up there. We were fully entertained listening to a lady that was turned down in a nightclub. Learned some new vocabulary words to describe the guy! Our cabin steward, Widana was outstanding, and happy to make our trip memorable. Greeted us by name each & every time we saw him.
Food was really good in both buffet and dining rooms. Lots of people, mostly kids, but some adults, that were in Lido barefoot. Thank goodness for plastic plates & cups. Even saw one family show up for breakfast in PJ's. The entire family. They do not allow shorts in dining room, but we did notice some individuals make no effort to look presentable for dinner. My favorite was the guy that showed up for dress up night in jeans with paint all over and an "I'm with Stupid" sweat shirt. Was a bit hard to attend trivia in Jeve's lounge, as people walking through were giving answers out. Adult comedy show was awesome. We did not do any Carnival tours. Warning to folks needing to tender, GET YOUR NUMBERS EARLY. Tendering is crazy in Cabo.
