Having had 27 cruises over 20yrs,we have never had reason to complain before.
Over the last 4yrs we have used Celebrity Solstice class ships. The general standard has been good, deck cleanliness, sun loungers and around the ship,as we would expect.
Also the food has been fine.
What a difference with Millennium, first impression was how jaded this ship appeared,it looked all of its
12/14yrs.surely scrap the rusting dirty sun loungers and freshen up the deck area.We know nowadays it so competitive for cruise companies, but the crazy high prices for drinks and tours does not help there future.$50 for a bottle of wine and $7.50 for a beer, mad! hence nobody enjoying evening drinks in the many empty bars.
Sadly like so many other passengers we picked up some bronchial virus, which spread to non stop coughing, and occasional vomiting.having been to the medical centre a couple of times we were sold some linctus which made no improvement.
After a few days we realised this virus must be widespread,as all self service was stopped in the buffet restaurant and the staff were serving in surgical gloves.
We realise that security is so important, but so much frustration with body search and checking on and of the ship it becomes a ordeal.
