The check-in on date of departure was a nightmare. No one seemed to know what they were doing? The fire drill was VERY long since they had to repeat it in several different languages. I had to get out of the line due to almost fainting. No fresh air and claustrophobia.
Food was very meager and mediocre - sometimes the meat was identifiable or like shoe leather. I have never seen a piece of prime rib about 3/8" thick!!! The food got better towards the latter days on board. Enjoyed the excursions - two of them had a buffet lunch at a 5-star restaurant which was 10 times better than the ship's buffets. Also enjoyed the balcony room on Deck 7.
All the Americans we got to know on board all said, it was their first Costa cruise (due to the low price) and would be their last one!
