travelled on the Thomson Dreamliner from Manchester, which we thought was very impressive, plenty of leg room and spacious cabin and good entertainment system. Arrived in Barbados and got straight onto a coach to the port no waiting for bags or immigration. We found embarkation was smooth and without any problems.
The cabin was as expected small but with everything you need, the tea n coffee tray was warmly welcomed and was nice to have a cuppa in bed before breakfast. The ship its self is okay... not fabulous but not bad. We found the food fine and there was always something you could have, we preferred the lido to the orion, I think a lot of the older cruisers prefer the formality of the the Orion, where the new younger cruises prefer the relaxed feel of the lido. The entertainment was acceptable and the team certainly try there best and are full of enthusiasm, the guest british comedian was very good. There were places where you could join in or watch the fun as well as quiet bars where people chose to relax, we liked the casino bar.
All in all it was a very informal cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed it and would go again. Not sure where the platinum comes in but we have no complaints,
