Ship Facts: Independence of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Independence of the Seas Deck Plans
Mixed

We have just got off a b2b 6 nights western and then 8 nights eastern. We had a junior suite 1372which was great. We are from Australia and have cruised on many RCL ships. First off we are diamond class and the Diamond Lounge was great with 3 hours of complimentary drinks each night and we met some great people.

The ice shows were fantastic but get there 30 minutes early to get a decent seat. The rest of the entertainment program was the worst we have ever had the production singers and dancers were the worst we have seen. They also repeated exactly the same for the second leg of the cruise.

We love trivia but the same themes again on week 2.

We did my time dining first leg and food was just terrible and waiters rushed and not interested. We ended up doing Windjammer second leg and it was good at 830pm.

Norovirus hit the ship on second leg so ship really ramped up infection control.

We did shore excursions entire trip...you really have to search where to gather etc.

The jewellery making classes with Margaret were excellent. Same old theme nights ..how many times can you do 70's night, love and marriage, quest etc....

We love the schooner bar but the smoke coming in from the casino was so strong!

Staff at guest relations very helpful.

Overall we will go back to smaller ships if we can .
