We arrived in Fort Lauderdale the day before our cruise boarded. We got to Port Everglades a little early and had to wait in line for about a half hour before they started boarding. Like our past experiences on Solstice and Infinity the boarding went smoothly and the crew was very helpful with getting us settled in. We thought that our cabin, the food, the service and the show and lounge entertainment were very good and met our usual expectations for Celebrity.

This cruise went to Key West and Cozumel with three days at sea. It was a time for us to escape the New England winter and relax in the warm Caribbean climate. That being said, this cruise had plenty of time to enjoy the solarium the pool. Unfortunately, every time we were relaxing near the pool, our relaxation was disrupted by the overly loud ship organized poolside activities. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind them having pool games or Zumba classes but the sound system was set so much too loud and I found it annoying at best and painful at worst. We spent a lot of our time near the solarium at the far end of the pool deck away from the speakers and the sound level there was annoying. I pity those who were near the speakers! I questioned the pool staff about this situation and was told that the sound level was set the way it had been set for the last few cruises and no one had complained. Maybe I'm over sensitive to loud noise but it wasn't enjoyable. If I wanted that kind of loud party atmosphere I would have booked on Carnival not Celebrity.

We usually like to go to the Reflections Lounge for a coctai and some conversation around sunset. Unfortunately, on at least two occasions we found that the Reflection Lounge was closed from 5 to 7PM to anyone who wasn't a Captain's Club Elite member or higher. We're only Select members so out of luck. On the one evening that we did get to the Reflection Lounge in the evening before dinner the service was very sparse to nonexistent. Well, at least the view was nice.
