I've taken 3 other Carnival cruises and was reasonably satisfied. This one was, by far, nothing at all like the others. There is no way I would ever recommend this unless you wanted a booze cruise and nothing more.

Why?

- The people, oh my gosh. I have lived in WV, TN, and SC... not exactly hotbeds of sophistication. But I could not BELIEVE the level of low-class behavior on this particular cruise. Riding in on the parking shuttle was my first clue where some Here Comes Honey Boo Boo clones were loudly and extensively complaining about the size of the parking lot; they thought they were funny but they were acting like they had never left their house before. The first night at dinner, we were unable to engage our tablemates in anything resembling conversation until one of them started talking about getting drunk, and then our 6 tablemates lit up. We asked for a table switch the next morning, so we wound up with a table of servers and bartenders from Myrtle Beach who took multiple shots at dinner and again, only talked about getting wasted.
