This was a fabulous cruise. The ship is absolutely beautiful and our cabin was set out just right so that you were not bumping into anything. I especially like having the sliding glass doors in the shower area and a separate glass door in the toilet area so someone could still use the sink while you were using the other two facilities. The staff on board are very personable and will do anything possible to make you happy. We met alot of nice young people from all over the world who took the time from their very busy schedules to talk to us about themselves and why they were on board and to give us some insight to life on board a cruise ship. What an eyeopener. The entertainment was good. You have several choices each nite and we thoroughly enjoyed the swing/ballroom dancing at 6:30 to 8:30 everynite in the Spinnaker and the theme nite dancing at ll:00 everynite with live bands. There was also the disco everynite in the Ultra Bliss lounge which we did not go to. The production shows were excellent in the main theatre and so were the comedy acts. There just didn't seem to be enough time in the day to be able to do everything the ship offered. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the bowling alley but we did see some others using it. This is also something to see someone bowling while the ship is moving. What was also surprising was all over the ship were lounge beds and couches that were in all the rooms and even at the pool deck to be used by the cruisers on board instead of the usually chairs. This was nice just to lie on and read a book and have a few drinks by the pool or in the lounge while listening to music.

The food in the dinning room was average and selection was limited but the speciality restaurants were excellent. We especially enjoyed Mambos the Mexican restaurant and the Lotus Garden. The only problem with the Dining rooms is getting into them for Dinner. You must make reservations as soon as you get on board in order to be able to go to dinner at a reasonable hour otherwise you will find sometimes you cannot get in at all or only after 8:30 at nite.

The casual attire on board (jeans) was not as predominate as we thought it would be. We did see some jeans in the dinning rooms but were usually worn with a nice blouse or top by the ladies and usually with a shirt or casual blazer by the men. No tank tops or shorts or ripped or torn jeans were allowed. Instead of formal nite it was called portrait nite and they have several over the week so if you wanted to dress up in formal or cocktail wear you could any of these nites not just the designated two nites as usual and still feel comfortable and not out of place and if you wanted you could get your pictures done either in casual or in evening clothes. All the pictures looked great and that was due to the great photographers NCL has on board.
